Informative, but 3 hours to complete is completely unrealistic. Unnecessary filler words are common in lectures, and important steps and speed thorugh. Makes me want a 0.05x speed filter to be able to see what he clicked on.

Just completed the “Mastering KiCad” course – and it’s excellent! Comprehensive, practical, and hands-on, it covers everything from schematics to advanced PCB layouts. The instructor explains clearly, and the projects make learning very applicable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to design professional-quality PCBs!

First of all, this seems to have been recorded with a quite old Version of Kicad (I guess 6.x ? Current is 9.x) so some steps are quite different in the current versions. What I disliked: a) it is sold as "Mastering KiCad" while it is rather a high-level overview on PCB design (one star for the good overview) b) the tool videos are so fast you'd have to play them with 0.05 speed to follow it yourself in KiCad c) for each activity only the very high-level steps are demonstrated while in most places you need indepth knowledge of the tool and activities to complete the step in a good way, this is specifically true for manual routing. Many features not relevant for Beginners are shown in an impartial way (e.g. Sub-Sheets). In fact I consider this training a tool-agnostic, good overview on the PCB-design process and KiCad-usage is covered at 5% of the time. You will not at all learn how to "master" KiCAD with this course but have a good high-level understanding.
