very well organised, the concepts were very clear, the coverage of syllabus is very precise and complete.
Designed as an introduction to the evolving area of AI, this course emphasizes potential business applications and related managerial insights. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the science behind systems that can program themselves to classify, predict, and offer solutions based on structured and unstructured data.
For millennia, humans have pondered the idea of building intelligent machines. Ever since, AI has had highs and lows, demonstrated successes and unfulfilled potential. Today, AI is empowering people and changing our world. Netflix recommends movies, Amazon recommends popular products, and several EV manufacturers are working to perfect self-driving cars that can navigate safely around other vehicles without human assistance. More recently, Generative AI (e.g., OpenAI’s GPT-4, and variants of this concept such as Google’s Gemini, Anthropic’s Claude or Microsoft’s Copilot) has revolutionized and energized imaginations and expectations with multi-modal capabilities. Businesses are scrambling to suitably adjust AI strategies across multiple domains and industries. This course focuses on how AI systems understand, reason, learn and interact; learn from industry’s experience on several AI use cases. It seeks to help students develop a deeper understanding of machine learning (ML) techniques and the algorithms that power those systems and propose solutions to real-world scenarios leveraging AI methodologies. Students will also learn the estimated size and scope of the AI market, its growth rate, expected contribution to productivity metrics in business operations.

Could you specify which project you need a review for? If you’re referring to one of your IoT projects.

good but it was too general and didnt give enough information on how to actually implement
If some one is looking to learn on AI, GEN AI and to keep a check on the latest technology convergence aspects, this one stop course which will gives you that covering latest AI articles/journals. Thanks for making this MBA Content AI overview course available to the public from ILLINOIS TECH through coursera. I would strongly recommend this course.
It was an amazing experience—very eye-opening! Prof. Siva was amazing. I definitely recommend it to someone who is approaching AI for the first time. It helped me understand the topic in a structured way without neglecting technical or ethical aspects.

The course does a good job of balancing theory with intuition. Core AI concepts—such as intelligent agents, search strategies, knowledge representation, and learning fundamentals—are explained in a structured and academically sound way, without feeling rushed or superficial. The instructors clearly come from a strong academic background, and that shows in how concepts are framed, defined, and connected to one another. What I appreciated most is that the course doesn’t treat AI as a collection of buzzwords. Instead, it emphasizes why certain approaches work, their assumptions, and their limitations. This makes it especially useful for students who want a strong conceptual foundation rather than just tool-specific skills. The lectures are clear, the pacing is reasonable, and the assessments encourage real understanding instead of rote memorization. That said, the course leans more toward the theoretical side. Learners looking for heavy hands-on programming or industry-focused implementation may need to supplement it with practical courses. However, as a foundational AI course—particularly for computer science students—it serves its purpose very well. Overall, this is a well-structured, intellectually honest course that builds a strong base in Artificial Intelligence. I would recommend it to students and learners who want to understand AI from first principles and are serious about developing long-term depth in the subject.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too "entry level" for anyone that would be searching for an A.I. course. It's difficult to put into words but this feels like mostly fluff. A lot of useless information. I often found myself thinking "Why am I reading this?" I would not have paid $50 for the course thus far, much less $50 per month while completing it.
